Oppose The Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act Tweetstorm

Due to a pathetically small amount of people attending this event, I did not prepare an extensive tweet sheet. With 100 senators to message (a minimum of 10 tweets to each) this would have been a very time consuming and arduous process, not to mention, quite possibly, the longest tweetstorm in history. It is a bit discouraging to see that well under 100 of the 4,700 friends of the page  are willing to make this effort; therefore I offer you this bit of a tweet drizzle (for those of you who are new to my tweetstorms, all tweets are “click to tweet” just tap “Tweet4Wolves”). For ease of tweeting please open this blog on your browser and close your twitter window.

My apologies to the devoted true activists that have given up much of their time and energy and helped with the causes which I have shared. A heartfelt thanks to these special few.

  1. I wish the government and hunters and sport hunters would leave our wolves, bobcats, mountain lions and bears alone. As well as the lions, elephants, water buffalo, camels and giraffe alone. And also our marine animals. Whales, dolphins, manatees, seals, polar bears, penguins and walrusses. We don’t need to thin any herds or population control our predators. We need them all for one thing or another in our ecosystem. If you kill them, then what’s going to happen isn’t going to be a good thing. I beg you to let them be.

  2. I was unable to participate this afternoon, but I have sent all of the tweets listed. If there is something else I need to do, please send instructions. I read that this bill had already failed to pass.

    1. Thankyou, Gail. S. 659 was reported favorably out of committee and has been sent to the Senate for consideration. Regarding S. 2012, the Senate had a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture (Energy Policy Modernization Act). The cloture failed, ie. it was not invoked: 43-54.
Senator McConnell entered a motion to reconsider the failed cloture vote at a later time.
Both bills are still up for consideration, neither has failed to pass. Thankyou for your help and support!
